They say it takes a village to raise a child, and while this may still hold true, it’s not really how we live any more. As a Mum, life is super busy. Between kids, work, school and family it’s easy to see why we are only just keeping up with everyday life.
But life is about enjoying every day, not just weekends or special occasions. Today we are surrounded by ‘health advice’. The trouble is the advice can often be contradictory & overwhelming. Eat carbs, don’t eat carbs, go paleo, don’t remove any major food groups, work life balance is the key to happiness, the advice goes on and on. Busy Mums want to model healthy eating and lifestyle for their families but with so much contradictory information how do you know what to do?
It can feel all too hard and you end up thinking why rock the boat by making changes, we are doing ‘ok’? Deep down you know ok isn’t good enough. You feel you are running at speed and either just keeping up or maybe not keeping up at all. Your mojo has packed its bags and gone on holiday without you and you are left wishing you had more balance in your life.
That’s where I come in. I’m Angela Moon, a certified health coach, wife & mother to two young girls, and I help Mums cut through the noise and find the rhythm that works for them and ultimately for their family too. When we find the right rhythm we have the reserves to deal with busier or more stressful periods life throws at us. You might be a “million miles an hour” kind of family or a more reflective smell the roses kind of family. That’s ok, there’s a rhythm that will work for you to help you live a life full of vitality.
How we nourish our bodies is a very important part of this rhythm. How do I know? A baptism by fire that’s how!
The birth of our first child sent us on a crazy journey to discover how the food we eat impacts on our moods, our sleep, response to stress and our behaviour. It also taught me the importance of looking after myself. During this period of immense stress our whole family was in survival mode. We were not prepared for it and it ultimately lead to burn out for me, not something I recommend. I was no use to anyone when I lost my reserves. Having recovered my rhythm I’m on a mission to help other Mum’s do the same.
It took 2 years to recover my rhythm because I didn’t know what support to look for, let’s make it much faster for you. Take
